Job Title: Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Support Section

Reports to:

Business Line

Projects & Engineering Business Line/ Security & Industrial Services Business Line

Job Purpose

The aim is to state the overall significance of the job from the organisation's perspective.

Responsible for developing and implementing maintenance programs to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment and machinery.

Works closely with cross-functional teams, including Maintenance Technicians, Planners, and Schedulers, to identify and resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability, and optimize maintenance processes.

Main Responsibilities

Policies, Processes and Procedures

  • Follows all relevant section policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Day-to-day operations
  • Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
  • Job specific responsibilities
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for critical equipment and machinery to minimize unplanned downtime, reduce maintenance costs, and optimize asset life cycle.
  • Work closely with Maintenance Planners and Schedulers to ensure that preventive and corrective maintenance tasks are properly planned, scheduled, and executed to meet production targets and minimize production downtime.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve equipment reliability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and practices, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve maintenance performance, reduce costs, and enhance safety.
  • Collaborate with other functions, such as Operations, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), and Engineering, to ensure alignment of maintenance activities with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards, including those related to equipment maintenance and reliability.
  • Provide technical support to project teams during the design and construction phases to ensure that new equipment and facilities are designed and built to meet maintenance and reliability requirements.

  • Academic & professional qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Maintenance Engineering

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of experience

Languages

  • Minimum English language required is KJO L4 – Intermediate
