Night Drilling Supervisor serving as the company representative at the wellsite during offshore night operations.
Oversees offshore jack-up rig drilling activities, safety compliance, operational continuity, and shift handovers.
Location and rotation
- Work location is offshore in Abu Dhabi.
- Rotation is 28 days on and 28 days off.
Responsibilities
- Represent the company on site during night shifts and ensure compliance with drilling programs and safety regulations.
- Document night operations, equipment use, and incidents, and hand over operations to the Day Drilling Supervisor.
- Coordinate logistics, operational procedures, and drilling programs with wellsite teams and service contractors.
- Respond to operational challenges and emergencies using safe, effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate department activities and report operational status to the Head of Drilling.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Petroleum Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 10 years in the E&P industry as a Drilling Engineer and Supervisor.
- At least 5 years as a Night Drilling Supervisor on offshore jack-up rigs.
- At least 3 years of relevant UAE oil and gas sector experience.
- Valid industry-required drilling, completion, and workover certifications; examples include IWCF/WELLSHARP.
- Excellent written and spoken English, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Pay and benefits
- Salary is to be discussed; an offshore allowance is provided for days worked offshore.
- Round-trip economy air ticket, single-status accommodation, health insurance, and meals are provided.
Working hours and probation
- Offshore hours are 06:30–18:30, seven days per week; onshore Abu Dhabi hours are 07:00–15:00, five days per week.
- Probation period is six months.
