Ensure the stability and integrity of organizational voice, data, video, and wireless network services.
Plan, design, and develop LANs and WANs; identify network, infrastructure, and server issues and recommend improvements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades; configure networks for smooth and reliable operation.
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end-user workstations, software, and peripheral devices.
- Research network products, services, protocols, and standards to stay current with industry developments.
- Design, implement, and maintain VoIP phone systems, including phone servers and phones.
- Ensure connectivity for servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax machines, and other network appliances.
- Manage database, email, printer, and backup servers, including associated operating systems and software.
- Maintain network component inventories, documentation, and technical specifications.
- Monitor and test network performance and provide performance statistics and reports.
- Conduct server and security audits, and perform system backups and recovery.
Job knowledge and skills
- Knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN design and implementation.
- Knowledge of network capacity planning, network security principles, and network management best practices.
- Proven experience with VoIP phone systems; knowledge of network infrastructure, hardware, and application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
- ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, is stated as a requirement.
- Listed competencies include IT communication management, LAN network security, Microsoft Azure, help desk hardware support, IT standards and procedures, resilience, quality, agility, and AI fluency.
Experience
- At least 8 years of working experience, including at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- At least 2 years of GCC experience is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
