.NET SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

Position

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable .NET automation frameworks and reusable components.
• Configure Selenium test environments and participate in framework setup and IDE configuration.
• Identify and prioritize test cases for automation; create test plans, strategies, and execution approaches.
• Build and run functional, regression, integration, and API test scripts; maintain, enhance, and debug scripts.
• Develop BDD automation using Cucumber and perform API automation and service validation.
• Apply test design techniques and best practices to improve coverage and quality.
• Run automated suites in CI/CD pipelines; support regression testing and release validation.
• Track, report, and support resolution of defects; troubleshoot object identification, synchronization, and test stability.
• Work with developers and business teams to understand requirements and improve quality; take part in code reviews.
• Validate production issues and maintain automation documentation, reports, and test artifacts.

Experience and expertise

• 8–10 years in software development, quality engineering, or SDET roles.
• Strong hands-on .NET Core, C#, and Microsoft technology stack experience; expertise in automation testing and framework development.
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver, API automation, Rest Assured or API testing frameworks, and BDD with Cucumber.
• Strong knowledge of STLC and testing web applications, services, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and Angular applications from a testing perspective.
• Cloud familiarity with GCP, Azure, or AWS is listed.
• Troubleshooting, debugging, root-cause analysis, analytical problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Performance and scalability testing, DevOps and CI/CD, code reviews, test data and environment management, and Agile/Scrum experience.
• Able to collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and business teams.
