About the position
The Multi Civil Technician carries out multi-skilled civil maintenance and handyman activities across CBRE Excellerate managed facilities.
The role covers preventive, reactive, and corrective building fabric maintenance and aims to ensure quality workmanship, HSE compliance, and timely service.
Decision-making authority and duties
- Assess minor civil and handyman maintenance requirements and identify materials and tools for assigned work.
- Carry out minor repairs within approved scope and competency.
- Identify additional defects and report corrective requirements; escalate specialist or major repairs.
- Stop work where unsafe conditions or practices are identified.
- Perform painting, flooring, basic carpentry, minor masonry, ceiling and partition repairs, and silicone or sealant works.
Experience and education
- Minimum 3 years of experience in civil maintenance, facilities management, or handyman services.
- Practical experience in painting, flooring, and basic carpentry works.
- ITI or trade certificate in Civil Maintenance, Carpentry, Painting, or equivalent is preferred.
- UAE commercial building or facilities maintenance experience is preferred.
Skills and knowledge
- Painting and surface preparation; flooring, tiling, and grouting repairs.
- Basic carpentry and joinery; minor masonry, plastering, and gypsum repairs.
- General handyman maintenance and safe use of hand and power tools.
- Basic material estimation and basic CAFM or work-order handling.
- Knowledge of civil fabric maintenance, painting systems, surface preparation, flooring, tiling, grouting, and carpentry.
- Knowledge of ceiling and partition maintenance, preventive and reactive maintenance, PTW, and HSE requirements.
