Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain high-quality iOS and Android apps using native technologies and React Native.
  • Own store release management, including signing, provisioning, build pipelines, submissions, rollouts, rejection handling, and release notes.
  • Operate React Native OTA update pipelines with channel strategy, rollback, and version gating.
  • Integrate Firebase authentication, databases, messaging, crash reporting, remote configuration, analytics, and app distribution.
  • Build robust REST networking, real-time communication, and resilient bulk upload capabilities.
  • Lead mobile security audits and remediate findings, applying secure storage, certificate pinning, obfuscation, secrets handling, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Design and ship Unity VR apps for Meta Quest/OpenXR, including spatial UI, performance optimization, and store releases.
  • Write and test code, review contributions, and set mobile and XR engineering standards.
  • Monitor app and VR health and drive continuous improvement.
  • Work with backend, product, design, and QA teams on technical designs and estimates.
  • Ensure platform and regional data-protection compliance, including consent flows and privacy manifests.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional mobile development and apps shipped on both the App Store and Google Play.
  • Strong Swift/SwiftUI and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose skills, including platform lifecycle, permissions, background processing, and native modules.
  • 3+ years of production React Native experience, including native bridging/Turbo Modules, navigation, state management, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on Unity (C#) VR development and at least one VR app shipped to a store.
  • Experience with XR Interaction Toolkit/OpenXR, tracking, input, spatial UI, comfort and locomotion practices, and standalone headset optimization.
  • Ownership of store deployments and release pipelines; tools may include Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, Gradle, GitHub Actions, or Bitrise.
  • Production React Native OTA update experience and deep Firebase experience.
  • REST APIs, authenticated POST endpoints, multipart uploads, pagination, and real-time features using WebSockets and/or Server-Sent Events.
  • Experience with resumable/background bulk uploads and conducting or remediating mobile security audits.
  • Must already be based in the UAE and willing to work onsite in Abu Dhabi.
