Position summary
Fully remote, hourly contractor role supporting AI data and language projects on a flexible, project-based basis.
Project scopes may include annotation, LLM evaluation, content generation, and localization QA.
Applies senior-level Arabic localization and translation judgment alongside minimum C1 English proficiency.
Project work
- Label, classify, and structure documents, tables, and other content for AI training datasets.
- Review AI-generated responses for accuracy, reasoning quality, coherence, and cultural and linguistic appropriateness.
- Write prompts and model responses to guide AI learning across diverse topics.
- Check terminology, tone, cultural nuance, and locale-specific details such as units, references, names, and dates.
Profile requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Translation, Linguistics, Localization, Communications, or a related field.
- Native or near-native Arabic, with strong writing and editing across Modern Standard Arabic and at least one dialect.
- Minimum C1 English proficiency in reading and writing.
- Excellent judgment in register, tone, punctuation, inclusivity, cultural nuance, and detail.
- Able to identify meaning drift, ambiguity, locale inconsistencies, and subtle errors and explain corrections clearly.
- Able to fact-check localized content using reliable sources and consistent reasoning.
- Able to identify reasoning gaps, methodological errors, and unclear explanations.
- Reliable and self-directed, with consistent quality, clear communication, and responsiveness across time zones.
Preferred experience
- Professional localization or translation experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with MQM/LQA concepts is preferred.
- CAT tools and QA workflows, including translation memory, termbases, and automated checks, are preferred.
- Previous AI data training, annotation, or evaluation experience is preferred.
