Role overview

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities for MEP works; perform quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender evaluations for MEP packages.
• Evaluate subcontractor quotations, negotiate prices, and prepare comparison statements.
• Review and certify subcontractor payment applications and variations; prepare and evaluate variation orders, claims, and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs, identify financial risks, and support cost control activities.
• Coordinate with MEP engineers, project managers, procurement, and commercial teams.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and project specifications.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and support project financial forecasting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant MEP quantity surveying experience; UAE construction experience is highly preferred.
• Proven experience with main contractors on residential or high-rise building projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimation.
• Good understanding of construction contracts, variations, and claims.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and relevant QS software.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; good command of English.
