Role overview

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate FIDIC 1999/2017 Red and Yellow Book main contracts to protect the contractor's interests.
• Prepare and negotiate subcontracts, supply agreements, and amendments; review project-specific Particular Conditions.
• Manage notices, variations, claims, and payment matters through the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and defend EOT, prolongation cost, and variation claims; identify and mitigate contractual risks.
• Coordinate with project and commercial teams, quantity surveyors, and planning engineers.
• Support negotiations and dispute resolution with employers, consultants, and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of relevant construction contract-management experience; UAE experience is preferred.
• Mandatory proven main-contractor experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating FIDIC-based main construction contracts.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC 1999/2017 Red and Yellow Books and their General and Particular Conditions.
• Experience with amendments, special conditions, risk allocation, EOT claims, variations, and contractual disputes.
• Strong construction project technical and commercial understanding, negotiation and analytical skills, and English communication skills.
