MEP Planning Engineer

About This Role

We are seeking a skilled MEP Planning Engineer with 8 years of experience in planning, scheduling, and monitoring MEP works for construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for developing project schedules, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion of MEP activities in coordination with project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed project schedules for MEP works using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.

Prepare baseline programs, look-ahead schedules, and recovery plans.

Monitor project progress and compare with planned schedules.

Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors for updates.

Identify delays, analyze causes, and propose corrective actions.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

Track manpower, material, and equipment requirements.

Ensure proper sequencing of MEP activities with civil works.

Support tender planning and time estimation for new projects.

Maintain proper documentation related to planning and scheduling.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 8 years of experience in MEP planning within construction projects.

Strong knowledge of project planning tools (Primavera P6/MS Project).

Experience in high-rise buildings, commercial, or infrastructure projects.

Good understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Preferred Skills:

Experience working in UAE/GCC projects.

Knowledge of resource loading and cost control.

Familiarity with project management standards and practices.

Advanced skills in MS Excel and reporting tools.
