Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Icofr Specialist
to join our team in Dubai.
The successful candidate will lead Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICoFR) engagements, assess financial reporting risks, evaluate internal controls, and provide practical recommendations to strengthen governance and compliance.
This role offers exposure to clients across various industries within a dynamic environment.
Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting
- Lead and execute ICoFR engagements from planning through reporting.
- Perform walkthroughs, risk assessments, and control testing.
- Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
- Develop Risk Control Matrices (RCMs), process narratives, and flowcharts.
- Identify control deficiencies and recommend remediation plans.
- Prepare high-quality reports and present findings to management.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure engagements comply with COSO, IFRS, and firm methodologies.
- Stay updated on UAE regulations and industry best practices.
- Maintain high-quality documentation and deliverables.
Education & Certification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification required:
CPA, CA, ACCA, or CIA

- CRMA or CISA is an added advantage.
Experience
- **5–7 years**
- of experience in ICoFR, Internal Audit, Risk Advisory, or External Audit.
- Experience with a Big Four or reputable audit/advisory firm is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of
Coso Framework
,
Ifrs
- , and ICoFR methodologies.
- Experience with control testing, risk assessments, and RCM preparation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with GRC tools and ERP systems is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
- Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
