MEP Engineer role for luxury villa projects in Dubai, UAE.
The employer is a main contractor.
MEP site delivery
- Supervise and coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and firefighting works.
- Manage daily MEP site activities and ensure execution follows approved drawings and specifications.
- Review IFC and shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
- Coordinate MEP activities with civil, architectural, and specialist subcontractors.
- Monitor subcontractors against project schedule, quality, and HSE requirements.
Coordination, quality, and handover
- Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and authority requirements.
- Identify and resolve site technical issues and clashes.
- Monitor material requirements, deliveries, and installation progress.
- Ensure installations comply with approved designs, project specifications, and applicable UAE standards.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress updates and coordinate with the Project Manager and consultant.
- Support snagging, testing and commissioning, and final villa handover.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of MEP experience.
- Strong main contracting experience is mandatory.
- Experience coordinating MEP subcontractors and site teams.
- Good knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, building services, MEP drawings, specifications, and site coordination.
- Experience with testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover.
- Luxury villa or residential project experience is preferred.
- UAE or GCC construction experience is preferred.
