Mechanical Technician (OWN VISA) Required

Job purpose

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance; dismantle, inspect, repair, service, assemble, and install mechanical components.
• Maintain pumps, valves, piping, gearboxes, compressors, drives, and rotating or static equipment; perform alignment, fitting, bolting, and parts replacement.
• Troubleshoot faults; read mechanical drawings, manuals, specifications, and work instructions; safely use tools and measuring equipment.
• Support installation, shutdown, turnaround, and maintenance activities; maintain housekeeping and equipment condition.
• Follow PTW, LOTO, PPE, and HSE procedures; report defects; complete checklists and job reports; coordinate work with the team.

Qualifications and experience

• ITI, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Fitting, or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Technician, Mechanical Fitter, or similar.
• Good knowledge of mechanical equipment, tools, fitting practices, maintenance procedures, drawings, and technical instructions.
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety and industrial HSE requirements.
• Industrial, power plant, utilities, manufacturing, marine, construction, or project experience is preferred.

Required skills

• Mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting; equipment dismantling and assembly; pumps and valves maintenance.
• Mechanical fitting and installation; bearing, seal, and gasket replacement; alignment and measurement; piping and flange work.
• Use of hand and power tools; preventive and corrective maintenance; teamwork and communication.
• Ability to work independently under supervision and in shutdown or project environments, including extended hours when required.

Preferred requirements

• UAE/GCC industrial experience and a valid UAE driving licence are advantages.
• Relevant safety or technical certifications are preferred.
• Candidates available for immediate mobilization will be given preference.
