The role is Mechanical Supervisor – Piping for an offshore Oil & Gas project.
The role requires strong industrial piping experience; previous offshore project exposure is preferred.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise offshore piping fabrication, installation, modification, and maintenance activities.
- Manage and coordinate piping fitters, fabricators, welders, and other site personnel.
- Interpret piping isometric drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
- Ensure pipe alignment, fit-up, installation, and testing follow approved procedures.
- Monitor daily work progress and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
- Coordinate with engineers, QA/QC inspectors, and other offshore teams.
- Ensure compliance with offshore safety procedures, Permit to Work requirements, and project HSE requirements.
- Monitor manpower, tools, materials, and equipment required for offshore operations.
- Ensure work meets required quality standards and project specifications.
Candidate requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor – Piping in industrial projects.
- Strong experience in the Oil & Gas, petrochemical, refinery, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Previous offshore Oil & Gas project experience is highly preferred.
- Good knowledge of piping installation, fabrication, erection, maintenance, and testing.
- Ability to read and understand piping isometric drawings, P&IDs, and technical documents.
- Experience supervising piping teams and managing site activities.
- Good understanding of offshore HSE procedures, PTW systems, and safe working practices.
- Previous Qatar Oil & Gas project experience, particularly in Ras Laffan, Mesaieed, or Dukhan, is preferred.
Pay
- Pay is QAR 3,000 to QAR 4,000 per month.
