Role overview
The Deputy Project Quality Manager oversees project quality activities and compliance with customer requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable industry standards.
The role is based in Doha, Qatar, in the Oil & Gas industry.
The contract is for 12 months and is renewable; joining is ASAP.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Project Quality Plans (PQP), Quality Control Plans (QCP), and inspection plans.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, contractual requirements, and customer specifications.
- Coordinate customer inspections, supplier audits, and quality surveillance activities.
- Manage non-conformances (NCRs), root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Monitor quality KPIs, prepare reports, and lead customer quality review meetings.
- Oversee quality activities during installation, commissioning, and site execution.
- Monitor punch lists and ensure timely closure of quality issues.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, contractors, and project teams to improve quality performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- At least 3 years of project quality management experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
- Good knowledge of ISO 9001, quality management systems, inspections, audits, and NCR management.
- Experience with customer quality reviews, supplier audits, and site quality activities.
- Strong communication, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent English communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and supplier facilities.
- Candidates currently residing in Qatar are preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is QAR 11,500–12,000 per month.
