Role Overview
Mechanical Site Engineer role specializing in HVAC services for construction projects.
The position reports to the Project Manager and oversees a junior mechanical engineer and a mechanical inspector.
The role supports technical compliance, construction progress, quality, coordination, and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Review contractor schedules, shop drawings, material proposals, and subcontractor proposals for technical compliance and engineering coordination.
- Coordinate material requests and deliveries with suppliers and the main office.
- Inspect mechanical services works, including off-site equipment and material inspections, for compliance with drawings, specifications, schedules, and safety requirements.
- Review testing and commissioning methods, schedules, and results and advise the Project Manager.
- Manage snagging, defect lists, site or engineer's instructions, and review of operation and maintenance manuals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8–10 years of Mechanical Site Engineer experience in the construction sector.
- At least 4 years in a managerial role on large-scale projects with a proven record of successful project delivery.
- At least 4 years of HVAC experience.
- At least 4 years of experience with HAP, heat load calculation, and MEP design.
