The role manages and coordinates mechanical site works, ensuring safe delivery on schedule and to required quality standards.

The Mechanical Project Engineer supports the Engineering/Projects Department on new MEP projects.
The role manages and coordinates mechanical site works, ensuring safe delivery on schedule and to required quality standards.
Previous HVAC experience is preferred.
Project delivery
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate mechanical works on site, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements, and follow up on approvals.
- Coordinate with the main contractor, consultant, client representatives, and other trades.
- Prepare and update the work programme and monitor progress.
- Manage site supervisors, foremen, technicians, and subcontractors.
- Raise material and inspection requests and follow up with the consultant for approvals.
Quality, coordination, and handover
- Support the QS team with quantities, measurements, variations, and progress billing.
- Ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, and authority requirements.
- Monitor site quality and HSE compliance.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover of mechanical systems.
- Prepare progress reports and maintain project records and documentation.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10 to 12 years of experience in mechanical MEP projects.
- Strong experience in HVAC systems, including chilled water, ducting, VRF or split systems, and ventilation.
- Good knowledge of plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
- Knowledge of site coordination, shop drawing review, and project documentation.
- Working knowledge of UAE authority approvals, including DCD and Dubai Municipality.
Tools and professional skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; MS Project or Primavera knowledge is an advantage.
- Good communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
