Role overview
The role supports the Design Department on new MEP projects by preparing and updating electrical drawings and project documentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare electrical layouts and drawings in AutoCAD to project requirements.
- Prepare and update shop drawings and as-built drawings for electrical systems.
- Develop drawings for lighting, power, small power, low-current, and containment systems.
- Incorporate consultant and design-team comments and update drawings.
- Coordinate drawings with other MEP services to avoid clashes.
- Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and project files.
- Support quantity take-offs and project documentation.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in electrical CAD drafting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit knowledge is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and UAE authority drawing standards.
- Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and good communication and coordination skills.
- Previous experience on UAE projects is preferred.
