Role Overview
Position involves working as part of a multi-discipline, highly interactive and coordinated team focused on semiconductor manufacturing, assembly and test facilities, and other advanced facilities.
Projects include feasibility studies, long-range planning studies, and full design services from programming and schematic design through construction documents and construction support.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, assign, and delegate engineering and design tasks to produce construction documents.
- Manage scope, budget and schedule to meet project goals.
- Coordinate with electrical, structural, architectural and process disciplines.
- Independently lead plant design activities as an area/system leader.
- Perform Mech/HVAC plant design work in 2D/3D integrated design systems.
- Perform quality review checks for 2D/3D modelling and Mech/HVAC deliverables.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments and vendor bid evaluations.
- Assist in generating proposals, scopes, schedules and budgets.
- Develop designer effort-hour estimates for the Mech/HVAC discipline.
- Perform field activities such as observation of construction activities.
- Review construction submittals for conformance with design documents.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to project engineers and designers.
Requirements
- Minimum bachelor's degree in building services/mechanical engineering.
- Relevant engineering/design experience in industrial/advanced technology sector.
- Engineering/design experience of at least 5 years in Mech/HVAC systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel).
- Excellent English level, written and spoken.
- Ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels.
- Experience using Navisworks in a BIM environment.
- Semiconductor experience preferable.
Working Arrangements
- Hybrid working policy allows splitting the work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
