Overview

Our client is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join a growing Data Center design and engineering company in Doha, Qatar.

The role will support the design, coordination, and delivery of mechanical systems for mission-critical and data center projects, ensuring solutions are efficient, reliable, and aligned with technical requirements, industry standards, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design and development of mechanical systems for data center and mission-critical projects.
  • Prepare mechanical drawings, HVAC layouts, equipment schedules, technical documentation, and engineering reports.
  • Support HVAC system design including chilled water, DX cooling, ventilation, and precision cooling systems.
  • Assist with fire protection systems design including hydrants, sprinklers, foam, and clean agent systems.
  • Support public health system design including water supply and drainage systems.
  • Perform cooling load calculations, airflow requirements, and equipment sizing.
  • Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical, architectural, structural, and BIM teams.
  • Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and material specifications for compliance with project requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, site surveys, inspections, and field verification activities.
  • Support construction, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 2–5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or building services design.
  • Experience in HVAC design and building services projects is preferred.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, ASHRAE, NFPA, CIBSE, and relevant engineering standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with Revit, BIM workflows, HAP, or similar software is an advantage.
  • Understanding of cooling systems used in commercial buildings and data centers.
  • Familiarity with BIM coordination and multidisciplinary project environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced team environment with strong attention to detail and commitment to engineering quality.
  • Willingness to develop technical expertise in mission-critical and data center infrastructure.

Salary

  • **Between QAR 10000 – 15,000**
