Full-time, site-based Mechanical Site Engineer role supervising mechanical works on building and villa projects in Dubai.
Site engineering responsibilities
- Supervise mechanical works against approved shop drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Oversee HVAC installation, including split, ducted, VRF, and chilled water units, ducting, piping, insulation, and ventilation.
- Oversee plumbing and drainage systems, including water supply, pumps, tanks, and sanitary fixtures.
- Review IFC and shop drawings, identify cross-discipline clashes, and raise RFIs.
- Coordinate consultant inspections, raise inspection requests, and close comments and snags.
- Manage site subcontractors, foremen, and technicians; assign daily work and monitor productivity.
- Check materials against approved submittals and prepare material requests and quantity take-offs.
- Supervise testing and commissioning, including pressure tests, leak tests, and air and water balancing.
- Ensure compliance with authority requirements and site HSE rules; prepare progress reports and as-built mark-ups and support handover.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of UAE contracting experience on building and villa projects.
- Thorough knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and air-conditioning systems.
- Fluent spoken and written Arabic; good working English for drawings and correspondence.
- Able to interpret mechanical drawings and use AutoCAD and MS Office; valid UAE driving licence.
Compensation
- AED 7,000–12,000 per month, depending on experience.
