Role overview
The Civil Draftsman prepares and updates civil and structural drawings and supports the engineering team with drawing coordination between office and site.
Responsibilities
- Prepare civil and structural shop drawings, details, and sections based on design drawings and engineer instructions.
- Produce as-built drawings and update drawings to reflect site changes and revisions.
- Support site engineers with quantity take-offs and basic calculations.
- Coordinate drawings with MEP, architectural, and fit-out teams to resolve clashes.
- Prepare drawings for submission to consultants and authorities, including Dubai Municipality and Civil Defence.
- Maintain an organized drawing register and ensure correct revision control.
- Visit sites when required to verify measurements and site conditions.
Requirements
- Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Civil Draftsman; experience with a contracting company in the UAE is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit is an advantage.
- Good understanding of construction drawings, structural details, and site practices.
- Familiarity with UAE authority submission requirements is preferred.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Available to join immediately.
