Department: Maintenance. Reports to the Section Head – Mechanical / Maintenance Manager.
Mandatory requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a thermal power plant (CCGT, simple cycle, or steam plant).
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP CMMS or a similar maintenance management system.
- Proven experience leading and supervising mechanical maintenance activities and site teams.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance on plant mechanical equipment.
- Support monthly and annual outages, overhauls, and maintenance shutdowns.
- Execute work orders through SAP/CMMS and coordinate with Planning Engineers.
- Lead and coordinate maintenance personnel and contractors.
- Review technical quotations; support procurement; manage spare parts planning and availability.
- Review maintenance procedures and work instructions; conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, IMS, legal, contractual, and organizational requirements.
- Prepare reports, maintain records, support performance improvement, and assist with maintenance personnel training and development.
Required skills
- Mechanical maintenance planning and execution; SAP/CMMS proficiency; root cause analysis and troubleshooting; team leadership and supervision.
- HSE and Environmental Management Systems awareness; hazard and risk assessment; waste management and emissions monitoring knowledge.
- Strong English communication skills and computer proficiency, including MS Outlook and SAP.
Work environment
- Work takes place in a plant maintenance environment, with exposure to operating equipment, outdoor weather, elevated work areas, noise, and industrial maintenance activities.
