Marketing Manager

About This Role

Fresh Start is the largest footwear reuse and recycling operation in the world, processing over 100,000 pairs of shoes per day across multiple international markets.

The business operates across four distinct areas: B2B wholesale and partner supply, repair and recycling, stocklot trading, and e-commerce.

Despite this scale, our external profile does not yet reflect the reality of what we do. The business has been built on operational excellence, and marketing has not historically been a focus. We are now at a point where that needs to change, and this role will lead that shift.

We are looking for an experienced marketing professional, typically with 5+ years’ experience and at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role, who is ready to take full ownership of a function within a complex, high-volume business.

Core Responsibilities

• Define and lead marketing strategy across all divisions and audiences.
• Design and launch a brand and website ecosystem across wholesale, repair and recycling, and stocklot.
• Establish consistent positioning, messaging, social media and content output.
• Work closely with leadership on commercial messaging and go-to-market approach.
• Source and manage external partners, including developers, designers, and agencies.
• Build and lead a small in-house marketing team over time.

Proven experience at scale:

You have built or led marketing within a large or complex business, and know how to bring structure, clarity and visibility to operationally heavy organisations.

Builder mindset:

You are comfortable starting from zero, creating structure, setting priorities and driving execution without an existing team or playbook.

Commercial awareness:

You understand the difference between brand positioning, lead generation and trading-driven marketing, and can adapt across B2B, wholesale and e-commerce.

Digital and channel confidence:

You are confident across website development, social media, content and performance tracking, and can direct technical and creative partners to a high standard.

Leadership and ownership:

You can build and lead a small team, while taking full accountability for marketing output and performance.
