ABOUT SHOPTALK LUXE Shoptalk Luxe is our newest global event, launched in 2026 and taking place at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi. It is the world’s most senior gathering of decision-makers from the retailers and consumer brands defining the future of premium retail –heritage luxury houses and next-generation premium brands as well as mass-market players adopting the luxury playbook to premiumise their own customer experience.

 

Abu Dhabi is our host city, and the GCC is central to the long-term vision for the event. This new Senior Marketing Manager role will play a pivotal part in building the in-region marketing engine for Shoptalk Luxe and shaping how the Shoptalk brand shows up across the Middle East.

 

As part of your job, you’ll :

Support and Deliver the Marketing Strategy for Shoptalk Luxe:

  • Partner with the VP of Marketing to deliver the end-to-end global marketing strategy for Shoptalk Luxe.
  • Build and deliver a differentiated, regional focused, end-to-end marketing strategy to drive attendance from the GCC region.
  • Build and execute against a multi-year plan for how Shoptalk Luxe scales across the GCC, expanding audience reach, brand presence and commercial partnerships across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman.
  • Advise on how to adapt Shoptalk’s marketing playbook for the Middle East. from messaging and tone to channel mix, cultural moments and local media landscape.

  Region-Specific Channels & Tools:

  • Identify, onboard and optimise the marketing channels and tools that actually drive results in the region – including WhatsApp for Business for audience communications, nurture journeys and sales enablement, alongside regionally dominant platforms and messaging apps.
  • Develop and own the Shoptalk Luxe social media strategy and tailor for all key markets (GCC, US, Europe, APAC) – adapting content, cadence and platform mix (including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and X) to engage audiences, and briefing on where creator and influencer partnerships can accelerate reach.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations to ensure our global martech stack (HubSpot, paid media platforms, analytics) is configured and optimised for GCC audiences, including language, timezone, consent and data considerations.

  Local Partnerships & Stakeholders:

  • Build and manage relationships with regional media partners, creators, trade associations and government stakeholders (including our Host City Partner, ADIO) to amplify Shoptalk Luxe’s presence across the region.

 

Global Partnerships & Stakeholders:

  • Build and manage relationships with non GCC global media partners, creators, trade associations and government stakeholders to amplify Shoptalk Luxe’s presence in all key international regions.

  Campaign Calendar Management:

  • Work alongside the VP of Marketing to develop and execute comprehensive campaign calendars across all marketing channels in alignment with the overall global and regional strategy and objectives set by VPs.

  Performance Reporting:

  • Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns across all channels to VPs, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Monitor and report on weekly trading including paid tickets and lead generation for the Sales Team and Retailer & Brand Team.

Iterative Campaign Planning:

  • Continuously iterate on global and regional campaign plans and data segmentations based on engagement analysis and feedback from VPs, ensuring effectiveness and relevance.

  Content Creation and Briefing:

  • Develop compelling email and video campaign concepts in alignment with global and regional campaign objectives and brand guidelines. Ensure clear briefs for all campaigns and meet campaign deadlines.

  Asset Review and Approval:

  • Review all designed assets, including emails, brochures, and videos, until they are ready for final sign-off by leadership

  Website Management:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Operations Team to monitor and report on website analytics to the Marketing VP, delivering new tactics and iterations to ensure it aligns with campaign objectives and event pivots.

  Collaboration with Internal Teams:

  • Collaborate closely with Team R&B and Sales teams to ensure marketing initiatives are effectively supporting business goals.

  Partnership Development:

  • Collaborate with our Global Partnership and PR Manager to report insights on the Partnerships channel and tactical changes to the Marketing VP.

  Vendor Management:

  • Oversee the management of third-party marketing vendors to ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget.

Here’s what we’re looking for from you:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Senior Marketing role, ideally within a B2B events marketing
  • Deep first-hand experience of the GCC marketing landscape
  • Demonstrable track record of building and scaling global marketing strategies with a particular expertise in the GCC, with a clear point of view on what works (and what doesn’t) in the region
  • Hands-on experience with region-specific channels and tools, in particular WhatsApp for Business, alongside the major social platforms used across the GCC
  • Strong network of in-region partners, agencies and media contacts would be a significant advantage
  • Excellent copy writer able to adapt to different tone of voices with impeccable attention to detail
  • Experienced in stakeholder management with the ability to work alongside multiple departments and report into senior management
  • Proven ability to own execution of multiple marketing channels, across multiple shows
  • Creative and positive mindset with problem solving approach
  • Knowledgeable in marketing tools such as HubSpot, Apollo, Google Analytics, HotJar
  • No ego – this is an early-stage launch event and the right candidate will be comfortable operating in the grey and ready to jump into all marketing tasks that super charge the growth of the Shoptalk Luxe brand
