Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Main scope

Duties and responsibilities

• Assign jobs, set priorities, and oversee daily workflow; recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and manage departmental staff.
• Analyze manufacturing operations and collaborate with department managers and leadership on priorities.
• Assess manufacturing process cost-effectiveness and feasibility; implement recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Supervise tooling operations and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Guide plant renovations and expansions and coordinate external contractors and vendors.
• Lead Lean practices, including 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, and value-stream mapping.
• Improve routing times and optimize manufacturing process times for HVAC product models.
• Approve equipment purchases, installation, and commissioning; approve machine-tool and parts designs, drawings, improvements, and tooling procedures.
• Provide plant technical support and prepare and implement the departmental budget.

Education and experience

• Degree in Production, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience in manufacturing engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in HVAC manufacturing or a related industry.
• Thorough understanding of plant engineering, industrial engineering, and tooling.
• Knowledge of practical engineering science and technology applications and of machine and tool design, use, repair, and maintenance.

Skills

• Strong organizational, planning, analytical, problem-solving, supervisory, and leadership skills; innovative and results-oriented.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software for budgets and records and with CAD tools.
• Excellent oral and written English communication; Arabic is an advantage.
