Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Build driver and carrier relationships; support carrier setup, retention, and productivity; fill in for personnel and assist with fleet optimization projects.
• Learn personnel training and orientation, fleet performance improvement, KPI measurement, customer reporting, and financial analysis.
• Learn inventory, asset, customer pool, driver assignment, payroll, budgeting, documentation, invoicing, P&L analysis, and other operational administration.
• Learn yard and equipment inspections, minor repairs, and coordination of preventative maintenance and safety repairs.
• Resolve service, routing, planning, mechanical, and pay issues with drivers, customers, and company personnel.
• Support safety communications and training, enforce policies, and maintain DOT compliance.
• Assign loads and plan, route, and monitor freight movement; manage exceptions and adjust ETAs to meet customer schedules and road conditions.

Qualifications and work conditions

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field; alternatively, high school diploma/GED with 1 year of qualifying experience or equivalent military experience.
• Travel to account, customer, and company event locations may be required; ability to work nights and/or weekends if needed.
• Willingness to relocate regionally depending on account assignment.
• Team management experience and listed conflict-resolution, judgment, adaptability, relationship, service, communication, and problem-solving capabilities are preferred.

Compensation

• Expected starting pay is $46,100–$57,600 per year; the role may also be eligible for an annual bonus and incentives based on profitability.
• The position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.
