Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Legal Counsel to support our fast-paced ecommerce operations.
The ideal candidate will provide strategic legal counsel across commercial, technology, data protection, and consumer law matters, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk in all business activities.
Contract Management & Negotiation Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts including vendor agreements, marketplace agreements, third party marketplace agreements, NDAs, DPAs, and MSAs.
Ensure contracts align with business objectives while protecting the companys legal interests.
Regulatory Compliance Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws including consumer protection, e-commerce regulations, advertising standards, and data privacy (e.g., UAE, KSA, other GCC Countries Data Law).
Advise on cross-border legal implications for digital transactions.
Risk Management & Dispute Resolution Identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Support internal teams in managing disputes, litigation, and regulatory inquiries.
Corporate Governance & Policy Development Assist in developing internal policies and SOPs for ecommerce operations, including return policies, terms of use, and privacy notices.
Support governance initiatives such as digital onboarding of legal tools and automation of contract lifecycle management Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with cross-functional teams including tech, marketing, finance, and customer service to provide legal guidance.
Liaise with external counsel and regulatory bodies as needed.
