Role overview
Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety programs for projects across regions, Khazna offices, and applicable joint ventures and subsidiaries.
Lead HSE teams and programs to prevent work-related injuries across project sites.
Key accountabilities
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and mandatory requirements; lead HSE across global construction projects.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate HSE and workplace wellbeing risks; promote safe practices and address unsafe acts and conditions.
- Provide technical advice on engineering and administrative safety controls; manage HSE teams, KPIs, targets, strategies, and action plans.
- Act as HSE contact for clients and stakeholders; review project HSE, logistics, and environmental plans and documentation.
- Conduct site visits, meetings, audits, and inspections; investigate incidents, near misses, high-risk observations, and non-compliances.
- Ensure compliance with laws, standards, and company requirements; provide coaching, training, toolbox talks, and mentoring.
- Share lessons learned, safety alerts, and best practices; lead continuous improvement, Management of Change, and risk-reduction initiatives.
Qualifications and competencies
- 7–10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organization, planning, and attention to detail.
- Proven leadership and team management; ability to challenge unsafe practices and make difficult decisions.
- Strong decision-making, flexibility, proactive action, strategic thinking, and planning competencies.
