• Listed knowledge includes industrial safety, occupational health, ISO 14001, and risk assessment.

Minimum qualification

• Graduate diploma, Bachelor of Engineering (BE), or Bachelor of Technology (BTech).

EHS planning and project safety

• Develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and project-specific safety plans for BESS projects.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and international EHS standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), and method statement reviews.
• Oversee safety during BESS installation, battery-container handling, electrical work, testing, commissioning, and energization.
• Ensure controls for electrical hazards, arc flash, lockout/tagout (LOTO), working at height, lifting operations, and confined spaces.
• Develop emergency response plans for battery thermal runaway, fire, smoke, electrolyte leakage, and other battery-related hazards.

Monitoring and incident management

• Coordinate EHS matters with project managers, construction teams, commissioning teams, subcontractors, and clients.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits, toolbox talks, and EHS training programs.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance and compliance with project EHS requirements.
• Maintain EHS documentation, inspection reports, incident records, safety statistics, and compliance registers.
• Monitor waste management, environmental protection, spill prevention, and hazardous-material handling.
• Lead EHS meetings, safety campaigns, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Ensure site availability of emergency equipment, fire-protection systems, first-aid facilities, and evacuation arrangements.
