Full Job Posting

Role description

The AI and Digital Innovation team builds and operates AI products, including document intelligence, underwriting support, and workflows connected to core platforms.

The manager is accountable for delivery across the AI portfolio, from prioritization and quality through business value realization.

This is a functional manager role that combines team leadership with hands-on delivery and technical judgment.

Delivery and team leadership

  • Own portfolio outcomes, including what ships, whether it works, and whether the business uses it.
  • Manage, coach, and develop delivery team members; set expectations and provide direct feedback.
  • Set priorities and outcomes for delivery cadence, maintain the roadmap and capacity plan, and clear escalated obstacles.
  • Make capacity and sequencing decisions, distribute ownership, and maintain quality across requirements, design, evaluation, and release readiness.
  • Review prototypes, prompts, agents, code, designs, documentation, and stakeholder work as needed.

Prioritization and value

  • Screen AI requests for data and business readiness, technical feasibility, minimum viable accuracy, output verifiability, and build-versus-buy fit.
  • Sequence competing initiatives, revisit decisions as conditions change, and defer or stop work that will not pay off.
  • Help sponsors quantify time saved, cost avoided, or revenue enabled, then validate the baseline after launch.
  • Build a roadmap around reusable components, common data foundations, and reinforcing initiative sequencing.
  • Account for AI consumption costs and flag solutions that are unlikely to scale economically.

Technical judgment and stakeholders

  • Guide LLM application patterns, agentic workflows, retrieval and context design, API and MCP integration, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop design.
  • Own delivery practices for environments, source control, code review, CI/CD, release management, and handoff to support.
  • Operate within AI governance, security, data-access, architecture, and vendor-assessment guardrails.
  • Translate between technical constraints and business needs; handle timeline, scope, and feasibility discussions constructively.
  • Report progress, risks, and realized value to leadership forums, including the AI Oversight Committee.
  • Manage vendor and partner scope, quality, change control, and commercial escalations.

Must-have qualifications

  • At least 5 years delivering technology solutions, including at least 2 years managing people or leading a delivery team.
  • Has shipped LLM- or ML-based solutions and can discuss model selection, prompt and agent design, evaluation, accuracy trade-offs, and when AI is not appropriate.
  • Uses AI tools daily and can demonstrate work built with them.
  • Has prioritized under constraints, communicated difficult decisions to senior stakeholders, and maintained working relationships.
  • Can help business partners quantify initiative value and assess uncertain estimates.
  • Has owned capacity planning across competing initiatives and made resource-allocation decisions.
  • Has software development project experience, including environments, code review, CI/CD, and release management.
  • Demonstrates strong communication, emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and the ability to mentor junior colleagues while working with senior specialists.

Nice-to-have qualifications

  • Background in commercial real estate, asset management, or financial services.
  • Hands-on coding ability in Python or TypeScript for work review and prototyping.
  • Experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, Fabric, Power Platform, APIs, MCP, Yardi or comparable ERP platforms.
  • Agile delivery, vendor and statement-of-work management, or adoption and benefit measurement experience.

Compensation

  • Expected annualized base salary is $140,000 to $160,000.
  • The total rewards package may include performance incentives, health and dental benefits, a pension plan, and paid time off.

Work arrangement

  • The posting identifies the role as hybrid.
