Eaton is hiring a mechanical maintenance engineer for its Dubai operations.
The role focuses on reliability and maintenance of advanced automated manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities
- Develop preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies for mechanical systems.
- Analyze downtime, MTBF, MTTR, and failures; lead RCA, A3, and 5 Why investigations.
- Optimize inspection, lubrication, replacement, and overhaul plans.
- Own mechanical performance of cam-controlled forming and assembly machines and plastic injection molding equipment.
- Collaborate on machine stability, cycle-time consistency, equipment commissioning, and industrialization.
- Use condition data, wear analysis, and failure trends to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Improve equipment life and process stability; standardize maintenance practices and documentation.
- Guide technicians through complex troubleshooting and coordinate improvements with toolmakers, engineers, and OEMs.
Qualifications and skills
- At least 3 years of experience in industrial automation and metal stamping, bending, and welding industries.
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, automation engineering, mechatronics, or a similar qualification is preferred.
- Knowledge of cam-controlled machines is required; Bihler is preferred, with Wafios and Finzer also named.
- CAD, SPS, and HMI systems experience; programming skills are advantageous.
- Quick comprehension, continuous learning, and willingness to work shifts.
