Arada Heavy Bus Driver

Role purpose

Key responsibilities

• Operate company heavy buses and transport passengers according to assigned routes and schedules, with timely pickups and drop-offs.
• Follow UAE traffic laws, RTA regulations, and company transportation policies.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, checking brakes, tires, lights, oil, coolant, and other essential systems.
• Report vehicle defects, breakdowns, and maintenance needs promptly; maintain bus cleanliness and condition.
• Ensure passenger safety when boarding, travelling, and alighting; assist passengers when needed.
• Record trip sheets, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle inspections.
• Coordinate with the Transport Supervisor about route changes, delays, breakdowns, and operational issues.
• Park safely at the designated location, respond calmly to emergencies, and follow company procedures.
• Do not transport unauthorized passengers or materials; maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.

Requirements

• Valid UAE Heavy Bus Driving Licence (Category 6 or equivalent).
• At least 3 years of heavy bus driving experience; UAE experience is preferred.
• Good knowledge of UAE roads, routes, and traffic regulations.
• Employee or staff transportation experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle inspection and routine maintenance; good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and able to work flexible hours and shifts; clean and safe driving record.

• Safe and defensive driving, route planning, navigation, vehicle inspection, and basic troubleshooting.
• Time management, punctuality, responsibility, reliability, communication, professionalism, and safety awareness.

Working conditions

• Work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required; extended hours may be needed.
• Comply with company health, safety, and environmental policies.
