Internship Overview
Join the Payment Data Intelligence team, which applies data science and machine learning to payment services at scale.
The internship focuses on agent-first AI applications for payment scenarios and practical fintech business problems.
The program provides hands-on experience, industry exposure, learning programs, development workshops, and social events.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy ML solutions for payment-related business problems with cross-functional teams.
- Translate business needs into data-driven and algorithmic approaches.
- Contribute to fraud detection, risk modeling, user experience optimization, and campaign-effectiveness use cases.
- Participate in large-scale data processing and feature-engineering workflows.
- Experiment with ML models and improve data labeling, feature systems, model robustness, and automation.
- Explore deep neural networks and LLMs in payment-intelligence scenarios.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Able to commit to a 12-week internship during Summer 2027.
- Strong foundation in machine learning, data analysis, and programming.
- Proficiency in large-scale data tools such as SQL, Hive, or Spark.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Experience in ML, risk modeling, recommendation systems, trust and safety, or fintech.
- Familiarity with deep learning or LLM applications.
Workplace
- The company is shifting to a fully in-person schedule of up to five days per week.
Compensation
- The hourly rate for this position in the selected city is $45 per hour.
- Interns have day-one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, paid holidays, and paid sick time.
- Interns who are not working 100% remotely may be eligible for a housing allowance.
