The Tech and Product team supports TikTok US user experience, data security, privacy, compliance, reliability, and product efficiency.
Graduate engineers will work on secure, scalable backend systems supporting recommendations, search, e-commerce, and compliance pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy production-grade backend microservices and distributed systems.
- Optimize performance, latency, memory use, and resource efficiency.
- Build monitoring, logging, and fault-tolerant mechanisms for high system availability.
Minimum Qualifications
- Be completing or have recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Have solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, computer systems, and software design.
- Have strong coding skills in at least one of Go, C++, Java, or Python.
- Be able to commit to an onboarding date by the end of the year.
Preferred Qualifications
- High-concurrency systems, distributed databases, RPC frameworks, message queues, or big data systems experience is preferred.
- Technical internship experience at top tech companies or competitive programming achievements are preferred.
Workplace
- The company is shifting to a fully in-person schedule of up to five days per week.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range in the selected city is $122,574 to $187,200 annually.
- The role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid leave, disability coverage, life insurance, holidays, sick days, and paid personal time.
