Responsibilities
- Support daily operational management and deputize for the Operations Manager when required.
- Improve delivery-station safety; supervise logistics assistants, coordinators, and delivery associates to meet shipment KPIs.
- Monitor performance, coach staff, and partner with support departments to improve logistics processes and operations.
- Communicate expectations to delivery service providers and improve the quality of their deliverables.
- Interview candidates for associate roles.
- Brief and monitor driver and associate workloads and ensure administrative tasks are completed accurately.
- Measure workflows and daily metrics; assist with tracking, trending, and reporting site performance.
- Train and mentor new associates and resolve process-related issues.
- Work with the Operations Manager on resourcing, training needs, absence and performance management, coaching, and productivity.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience managing teams.
- Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in logistics is preferred.
- Experience with data analysis is preferred.
