Met T&S is seeking a hands-on Logistics Supervisor for the GCB Polymers project.
The role coordinates waste collection from construction sites to authorized disposal facilities and connects field teams, administration, and contract stakeholders.
Location and Work Model
- The role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with a hybrid schedule of 50% remote and 50% on-site at the GCB Polymers KEZAD facility and client locations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate waste collection activities from multiple construction sites to designated disposal facilities.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulations for waste handling, transportation, and disposal.
- Plan daily collection and transport activities with operations teams.
- Maintain manifests, permits, transport documentation, and accurate records.
- Verify transported commodity weights and values and reconcile volumes and values with administration.
- Support contract management by monitoring operational deliverables and terms.
- Identify, flag, and escalate operational or compliance issues.
Person Specification
- University degree or diploma in a relevant discipline, or equivalent.
- At least five years of logistics or supervisory experience within the UAE.
- Waste transportation or waste management logistics experience is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of UAE waste management regulations or the ability to acquire this knowledge quickly.
- Basic understanding of contract management principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word and solid general IT skills.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, coordination, and problem-resolution skills.
- A valid UAE driving license is preferred.
