The Buyer carries out purchasing activities according to the guidance of the Purchasing Coordinator or Head of Purchasing Department.

Duties and responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities for assigned materials and services.
- Float requests for quotation, obtain quotations, and conduct commercial evaluations by required deadlines.
- Prepare bid tabulations, commercial bid evaluations, and purchase recommendations.
- Negotiate commercial and contractual terms to achieve cost savings and required delivery dates.
- Issue and follow up purchase orders until acceptance.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Expediting, Inspection, Logistics, and Accounts teams.
- Maintain procurement records and comply with company procedures.
- Support vendor development and supplier performance monitoring.
Knowledge and qualifications
- University degree or diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–4 years of procurement experience in EPC or oil and gas projects in the UAE and international markets.
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, email, and ERP systems; SAP is preferred.

- Attention to detail, management skills, and a team-oriented, self-motivated approach.
- Strong supervisory, inspection, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Focus on timely performance and problem resolution.
