Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage all international import and export operations by air, sea, and land freight.
• Coordinate and negotiate with freight forwarders, customs agents, suppliers, and shipping companies to ensure cost-effective and timely deliveries.
• Handle end-to-end customs clearance procedures in full compliance with UAE Federal Customs Authority regulations.
• Monitor shipment schedules, track consignments in real time, and proactively resolve delays or disruptions.
• Prepare, verify, and maintain accurate shipping documentation including commercial invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, certificates of origin, and delivery orders.
• Plan and oversee transportation logistics and material movement to and from project sites across the UAE.
• Collaborate closely with procurement, warehouse, and project management teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
• Identify and resolve issues related to customs holds, shipment discrepancies, and transportation challenges efficiently.
• Monitor and control logistics costs and evaluate service provider performance on an ongoing basis.
• Maintain comprehensive records and generate logistics reports for management review.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in international import & export logistics — experience within contracting, construction, or consultation companies is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage the full spectrum of logistics and supply chain operations.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE customs regulations, Incoterms, and international shipping procedures.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with logistics or ERP management systems.
• Valid UAE driving license is preferred.
