About This Role
Roles and Responsibilities (Import Shipments & Local Transportation)
- Prepare Documents : Customs clearance, export shipments, certificate of origin (COO) applications, and document legalization (COO & CI).
- Export deliveries, including product inspection and container sealing.
- Work with forwarders/agents for material movement, freight inquiries, and shipment tracking.
- Bill of lading, air waybill, commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of analysis, and material safety data sheet.
- Ensure timely delivery, track incoming materials, and provide estimated arrival/departure dates.
- Coordinate with sales, customer support, accounts, and other departments to address discrepancies.
- Ensure non-compliance and financial loss prevention, manage inventory at 3PL locations, and achieve logistics cost savings.
- Update logistics manager on outstanding/new shipments and coordinate with agents for import/export clearance.
- Work with Dubai Municipality, Dubai Customs, and other authorities for permits and document processing.
- Report shipment delays, damages, or losses.
