Logistics Coordinator (FMCG)

Role Overview

Requirements

• At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in 3PL FMCG logistics, distribution, and import/export operations.
• FMCG industry experience is mandatory.
• A UAE driving license is required.
• Experience handling imports from the USA, Europe, and Canada.
• Experience coordinating exports to Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and other GCC countries.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and trade documentation.
• Experience working with international suppliers, freight forwarders, clearing agents, and transport companies.
• Knowledge of commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading or airway bills, and related documents.
• UAE logistics and GCC transportation experience is highly preferred.
• Strong MS Excel skills and experience with ERP or logistics systems.
• Excellent communication, coordination, follow-up, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate FMCG imports from international markets, including shipment bookings, supplier follow-up, customs clearance, and warehouse delivery.
• Verify shipping documents and monitor shipment schedules, estimated arrivals, customs status, inspections, duties, and delivery arrangements.
• Resolve shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, shortages, damages, and other logistics issues.
• Coordinate FMCG exports from the UAE to Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and other GCC countries.
• Manage export documentation, customs requirements, road freight, delivery coordination, shipment monitoring, and proof of delivery.
• Coordinate suppliers on purchase orders, production readiness, shipment schedules, quantities, batch details, expiry dates, and packing requirements.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, clearing agents, transporters, and third-party logistics providers.
• Coordinate local delivery schedules, vehicle allocation, warehouse transfers, returns, and delayed or damaged deliveries.
• Maintain accurate import, export, shipment, vehicle movement, delivery, and logistics expense records.
• Prepare shipment status reports covering purchase orders, suppliers, shipment dates, estimated arrivals, clearance, and delivery.
• Monitor freight charges, customs expenses, and other shipment costs while identifying efficiency improvements.
• Ensure logistics activities comply with UAE customs, shipping, trade requirements, and company policies.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 4,000–AED 5,000 per month.
