Role purpose

Analyze logistics operations, transportation activities, costs, shipments, warehouse performance, customer requirements, and business data to improve efficiency, reduce costs, increase profitability, and support management decisions.

Work with Operations, Finance, Sales, Warehouse, Procurement, and Customer Service teams.

Reports to the General Manager or Operations Director.

Logistics, operations, and cost analysis

  • Monitor daily shipment and delivery performance, delivery schedules, delays, vehicle utilization, route efficiency, and order-to-delivery cycle times.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions; monitor transportation and warehouse productivity and analyze fleet, driver, shipment, and delivery performance.
  • Analyze transportation, fuel, warehouse, manpower, and handling costs; calculate costs per shipment, delivery, kilometer, vehicle, and customer.
  • Identify unnecessary logistics expenses, analyze customer and route profitability, and prepare monthly cost and profitability reports.

Reporting, supply chain, and business development

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly management reports; develop Excel and Power BI dashboards; analyze KPIs and present findings to management.
  • Maintain accurate databases and operational records; monitor inventory and stock levels, analyze demand and supply, and identify fast- and slow-moving products.
  • Support warehouse and distribution planning and analyze supplier and customer performance.
  • Analyze potential customers, markets, routes, distribution opportunities, competitor pricing, and market trends; prepare business cases and financial projections.
  • Evaluate logistics contracts and customer requirements and support pricing and commercial decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, distribution, or business analysis.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, charts, and data analysis.
  • Power BI experience is highly preferred; ERP/WMS/TMS knowledge is an advantage.
  • Strong numerical and analytical abilities, excellent communication and reporting skills, and ability to derive insights from large datasets.
  • UAE logistics experience is preferred; experience in distribution, e-commerce, warehousing, last-mile delivery, freight, transportation, retail, food and beverage, or import/export is advantageous.
  • Commercially minded, highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to turn operational data into practical decisions.

Work location

  • Work location is in person in Dubai, UAE.

Salary and benefits

  • Salary depends on experience and technical skills; a higher package may be considered for stronger Power BI, SQL, ERP/TMS, and logistics-sector expertise.
  • Benefits may include employment visa, medical insurance, annual leave, an annual air ticket subject to company policy, performance-based incentives or bonuses, and other company benefits under UAE regulations.

Performance and initial objectives

Performance measures include logistics cost reduction, on-time delivery, fewer delays and empty trips, vehicle utilization, warehouse productivity, reporting accuracy and timeliness, cost per shipment, customer profitability, and forecasting accuracy.

First 30 days: understand operations, systems, customers, routes, costs, and existing KPIs.

Days 31–60: establish accurate reporting, identify inefficiencies, and develop initial dashboards.

Days 61–90: present cost-saving, route and vehicle optimization, customer profitability, and KPI reporting recommendations.
