Overview
To manage and administer syndicated and financial institution (FI) lending facilities by ensuring accurate processing, documentation, compliance, and operational support throughout the loan lifecycle.
The role is responsible for facility administration, legal documentation review, loan processing, collateral management, participant coordination, and regulatory compliance while ensuring timely execution of all syndicated loan operations.
Syndicated Loan Administration
- Manage the day-to-day administration of syndicated and FI lending facilities.
- Process loan drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, and loan settlements.
- Monitor facility utilization and ensure transactions comply with approved facility terms.
- Manage loan disbursements and ensure timely processing of all loan-related transactions.
- Administer post-closing activities, including loan booking, interest calculations, and fee processing.
- Monitor covenant compliance and facility conditions throughout the loan lifecycle.
Credit Documentation & Compliance
- Review syndicated loan agreements and legal documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Ensure all documentation complies with approved credit terms, pricing approvals, and internal policies.
- Process facility approvals and ensure compliance with syndication and FI facility agreements.
- Maintain complete and accurate credit documentation throughout the facility lifecycle.
- Ensure proper lodgment and maintenance of collateral and security documents within the Bank's systems.
Loan Operations & System Administration
- Load and maintain customer limits and facilities in the Core Banking System.
- Ensure timely booking, amendment, and closure of loan facilities.
- Maintain accurate loan records and operational documentation.
- Support operational activities related to syndicated and FI lending products.
- Ensure all operational activities are completed within agreed service levels.
Participant & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with syndicate participants, agent banks, relationship managers, and internal stakeholders.
- Respond promptly to participant queries and operational requests.
- Maintain strong working relationships with lending partners and internal business units.
- Support communication between business teams and participating financial institutions.
Audit, Risk & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate closure of audit observations with Internal Audit and relevant business departments.
- Identify operational risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to established documentation standards and operational controls.
Reporting & Process Improvement
- Maintain daily MIS reports and operational trackers.
- Prepare operational reports and management updates as required.
- Develop and update operational procedures, documentation standards, and process guidelines.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Banking, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of Corporate Lending and Syndicated Lending practices is required.
- Professional banking or finance certifications will be an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Credit Administration, Syndicated Lending, Financial Institutions, or Corporate Loan Operations within the banking sector.
- Experience managing syndicated loan operations and facility administration.
- Experience reviewing loan documentation and legal agreements.
- Experience with syndicated loan disbursements, repayments, collateral management, and covenant monitoring.
- UAE or GCC banking experience is highly preferred.
