About The Role

A leading UAE bank is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager – Corporate Banking to join its Wholesale Banking Division.

The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring and managing relationships with Mid-Corporate and Large Corporate clients while driving business growth across lending, transaction banking, trade finance, and treasury products.

This role is suited for high-performing Corporate Banking professionals with strong client acquisition capabilities and solid experience in structuring corporate credit facilities within the UAE banking market.

Business Development

  • Acquire new Mid-Corporate and Large Corporate relationships.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the Corporate Banking portfolio.
  • Build a strong pipeline of new lending opportunities.
  • Meet assigned portfolio growth, revenue, and profitability targets.

Relationship Management

  • Manage an assigned portfolio of Corporate Banking clients.
  • Develop long-term relationships with CFOs, Finance Directors, and business owners.
  • Understand customers' financing needs and recommend tailored banking solutions.
  • Deliver exceptional client service while maintaining long-term relationships.

Credit Origination & Structuring

  • Conduct financial analysis and credit assessment of corporate clients.
  • Structure credit facilities aligned with clients' business requirements.
  • Prepare detailed credit applications and investment memorandum.
  • Present lending proposals to Credit Risk and Credit Committees.
  • Coordinate with Credit, Legal, Operations, and Risk teams through the approval process.

Product Coverage

Promote and structure a broad range of Corporate Banking products including:

• Working Capital Facilities

  • Term Loans
  • Trade Finance
  • Project Finance
  • Contract Finance
  • Structured Finance
  • Treasury Products
  • Cash Management
  • Bank Guarantees
  • Letters of Credit

• Supply Chain Finance

  • Corporate Deposits

Portfolio Management

  • Monitor portfolio quality and credit performance.
  • Conduct annual credit reviews and periodic client visits.
  • Monitor covenant compliance and financial performance.
  • Identify early warning signals and manage portfolio risks.

Cross-Selling

  • Work closely with internal product partners to deliver:
  • Treasury Solutions
  • Transaction Banking
  • Cash Management
  • Trade Finance
  • Foreign Exchange
  • Corporate Deposits
  • Investment Solutions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Master's Degree, MBA, CFA, CA, FRM, or equivalent professional qualifications are preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of UAE Corporate/Wholesale Banking experience.
  • Current or recent experience as a:

Corporate Banking Officer

  • Proven success in originating new Corporate Banking relationships.
  • Strong experience structuring corporate lending facilities.
  • SME Relationship Managers will not be considered.
