Overview

To evaluate corporate credit proposals, perform detailed financial and risk analysis, and provide sound credit recommendations that support informed lending decisions while ensuring compliance with the Bank's credit policies and risk framework.

Credit Analysis

  • Analyze corporate credit proposals, financial statements, and business performance.
  • Assess borrowers' creditworthiness using financial ratios, cash flow analysis, and industry benchmarks.
  • Prepare detailed credit appraisal reports with clear recommendations.
  • Evaluate repayment capacity, profitability, liquidity, leverage, and cash flow adequacy.
  • Identify key credit risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.

Financial & Risk Assessment

  • Conduct financial analysis, including ratio analysis, cash flow analysis, DSCR, leverage, liquidity, and stress testing.
  • Assess industry trends, market conditions, and macroeconomic factors affecting credit quality.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of proposed lending structures and identify potential risks.

Credit Proposal Evaluation

  • Review and assess proposals related to Corporate Banking, Mid-Corporate Lending, Contract Finance, Real Estate Finance, Trade Finance, and Factoring.
  • Ensure all credit proposals comply with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the approval process by preparing comprehensive credit recommendations.

Portfolio Monitoring

  • Monitor the performance of existing credit facilities and identify early warning signals.
  • Review periodic financial statements and covenant compliance.
  • Recommend corrective actions for deteriorating credit exposures.
  • Support periodic portfolio reviews and risk assessments.

Policy & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with the Bank's credit policies, risk framework, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain complete and accurate credit documentation.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Participate in credit policy enhancement and process improvement initiatives.

Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with Relationship Managers to structure appropriate lending solutions.
  • Coordinate with Risk, Legal, Operations, and Compliance teams throughout the credit approval process.
  • Provide timely credit support while maintaining independent credit judgment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, CFA, MBA, CIMA, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Credit Risk or Banking certifications from recognized professional institutions are an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Corporate Banking and Corporate Credit functions.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in credit analysis and financial assessment.
  • UAE or GCC banking experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience evaluating Corporate Banking, Mid-Corporate, Contract Finance, Real Estate Finance, Trade Finance, and Factoring proposals.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong financial statement analysis and credit assessment skills.
  • Sound knowledge of corporate lending products and credit risk management.
  • Strong understanding of GCC corporate markets, industries, and economic trends.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations, credit policies, and risk management frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong report writing and credit proposal preparation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Candidates aged between 30–40 years are preferred.
  • UAE or GCC banking experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience in credit transformation projects, policy development, or process improvement initiatives will be an advantage.
