About This Role

Job Purpose

To plan, coordinate and execute all activities related to Legal, Commercial, and Public Relations for AZAQ Group and its Entities in all regions where AZAQ is operating.

Also act as the focal point of contact to liaison between the Legal Section and other parties whether within AZAQ Group and externally with Legal and Government offices

  • Policies and procedures :
  • Recommend improvements to departmental policy and support in the implementation of procedures and controls

Legal Affairs

  • Create forms and modify the process for Legal operations for a smoother operation and better control on the process
  • Respond to requests of legal cases and ensure that all required documents are available to open a case
  • Maintain a separated file for each case and ensure all related documents are filed properly
  • Follow up and keep track of all legal cases and update the progress of each case
  • Write comprehensive and complete legal reports containing all case details to be presented to the legal offices and/or courts
  • Create a report showing the pending, in progress, and finalized legal cases with the final result of them and present the to the management
  • Coordinate as the focal point with other functions/business units of AZAQ Group and its entities to ensure the smooth operation of the Legal Section
  • Review the business agreements of functions/business units to ensure their legal compliance
  • Translate legal documents from English to Arabic and vice versa as and when required
  • Maintain properly all legal related documents as hard copies and e-files
  • Commercial:
  • Maintain properly the original and soft copies of all commercial related documents e.g. agreements, commercial registrations, contracts, etc.
  • Assist in finalizing any change in legal entities such as company activities, shareholders distribution, ownership emendations.
  • Ensure all commercial related documents are valid and ensure to renew them on timely basis
  • Power of Attorney:
  • Issue and/or cancel Power of Attorneys as and when required
  • Follow up and keep track on the issued Power of Attorneys
  • Record the history of Power of Attorneys as hard copies and e-files
  • Investigations:
  • Conduct investigations with employees in a professional manner.
  • Prepare a report of the investigations and attach supporting documents, if available
  • Keep record of all conducted investigations and their results

Public Relations

  • Support the Group Legal and Public Relations Manager in the Public Relations related activities such as charity, public events, and announcements in newspapers and online websites.
  • Maintain a record of all public relations activities
  • Liaise with other functions/business units for the arrangement of public activities, if required.

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform other job related projects and/or assignments that he/she might be asked to do by his/her direct supervisor/manager for special assistance that are often not mentioned in this job description as they arise under specific circumstances such as coordinating and arranging Board Members meetings, etc

Education

Bachelor's of Arts in Law / Legal or equivalent.

  • General Knowledge about Law Rules and Regulations
  • Local and International Business Law Systems
