Role summary
A diversified energy group is seeking a Legal Counsel to support transactions, projects, and operations.
The role safeguards legal, regulatory, and reputational interests while enabling business growth through contracting, governance, compliance, and risk management.
The role reports to the VP and is based in the group's Dubai office.
Required qualifications and experience
- 7–10 years of post-qualification legal experience.
- Experience working at both a Magic Circle law firm and in-house.
- Oil and gas or energy-sector experience is required.
- Fluent English is required.
- LLB or equivalent law degree from a well-recognised university.
Preferred qualifications
- Arabic and French fluency are added advantages.
- An LLM is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Provide practical legal support across transactions, projects, and operations.
- Safeguard the Group's legal, regulatory, and reputational interests while enabling business growth.
- Oversee legal matters from inception through completion, including external counsel management.
- Support effective contracting, governance, compliance, and risk management.
