Role overview

Owns technical solution delivery from approach and architecture sign-off through build and handover.

Acts as the senior technical voice to the client, integrating data engineering, AI, governance, and cloud work.

The role is part-time across the full engagement duration.

Architecture and delivery leadership

  • Own the target solution architecture and ensure each deliverable traces to agreed scope and requirements.
  • Lead technical decisions at architecture and scope sign-off and at each delivery gate; maintain the decision log.
  • Direct data, AI, QA, and cloud roles, resolve cross-workstream dependencies, and unblock the team.
  • Review design, code, and data-model quality; set standards for testing, documentation, and release readiness.

Client, risk, and handover

  • Advise senior client stakeholders and explain technical trade-offs in business and risk terms.
  • Track technical risks and scope drift and raise them to the project manager early with options.
  • Ensure AI and executive reporting layers use governed, reliable data and responsible AI practices.
  • Plan and run the technical handover so the client can operate the platform independently.

Required experience

  • At least 12 years in data, analytics, or cloud solution delivery, including at least five years as a solution architect or technical lead on enterprise programmes.
  • Proven delivery of modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Informatica, or equivalent, and AI-enabled executive reporting.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, quality, security, and operating-model implications.
  • Executive communication skills, including leading design-authority and steering-committee discussions.
  • Experience leading mixed onshore and offshore teams.

Preferred qualifications

  • Grade E2 or equivalent seniority and prior public-sector delivery experience in the Gulf are preferred.
  • TOGAF or an equivalent architecture certification is preferred.
  • Arabic language skills are an advantage.
