Hands-on Data Engineer joining a data team supporting a major enterprise’s digital transformation.
Build pipelines that power business decision-making and help shape a growing data platform.
Responsibilities
- Build, test, and optimize Databricks and Azure pipelines from ingestion through transformation.
- Write production-grade SQL and Python for transformation, modeling, and automation.
- Work within and help evolve a Bronze/Silver/Gold medallion architecture.
- Own pipelines end to end, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate on ingestion from core business systems into the central platform.
Required skills
- Hands-on Databricks and Azure experience; Delta Lake, Azure Data Factory, or similar tools are ideal examples.
- Strong SQL and Python skills with practical pipeline-building experience, not only querying or reporting.
- Comfort working in an established architecture while contributing ideas.
- An end-to-end ownership mindset.
Not a fit
The role is not aimed at analyst-only experience focused on dashboards and reporting.
Experience with Databricks or Azure only in a supporting or observational capacity is not a match.
