Lead backend development for Java Spring Boot microservices deployed on AWS EKS.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices deployed on AWS EKS.
- Own backend development end-to-end from design through production deployment.
- Contribute to React and TypeScript UI development where needed.
- Partner with product owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Conduct code reviews and uphold engineering standards across the team.
Requirements
- Bring 3+ years of Java development experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Have hands-on Kubernetes on EKS and Docker experience owning deployments.
- Have AWS experience with EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and CloudWatch at minimum.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
- Have Agile/Scrum delivery experience in a team environment.
- Have sufficient working knowledge of React and TypeScript.
Nice to Have
- AWS certification.
- CI/CD pipeline experience with Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Financial services experience.
- Kafka or messaging queue exposure.
